We Are!
Our Mission
Our mission is to bridge gaps in language, higher education, and professional skills training for individuals affected by conflict. By harnessing virtual learning technology and the benefits of peer-to-peer connections, we seek to provide a means of pursuing educational and employment opportunities.
Our Vision
Paper Airplanes envisions a world in which all individuals affected by violence and conflict regain access to educational opportunities, knowledge, and personal growth.
A Decade of Growth—Powered by Your Belief in Every Student
The English Program

This chart reflects nearly a decade of consistent program expansion supported by donors who believe in accessible, high-quality learning. By 2025, the English Program reached 4,151 cumulative learners, driven by an annual enrollment of approximately 500 new students and 600 returning participants.
Your contributions strengthened our core capacity from curriculum development to mentor training, allowing us to scale responsibly while maintaining program quality. This sustained growth would not be possible without your partnership and investment in long-term impact.

Our tutors are at the heart of everything we do—and what a community it has become! Since 2014, 5,256 tutors have guided students one-on-one and in small groups, helping learners gain confidence, skills, and a love for learning. Each connection, each class, each conversation adds up to an inspiring story of growth and possibility.
The Women In Tech (WiT) program

Our Women in Tech (WiT) program is the gateway for female students to delve into coding and digital expertise. We dismantle barriers to entry into the job market by teaching Python, business analytics, and web development. Since 2017, we have positively impacted 918 women, witnessing remarkable outcomes.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

More Learners, More Voices:
Advancing Equality in Education
Inclusivity is at the heart of our mission. This year, our programs have reached even more female learners, helping to ensure that everyone—regardless of gender—has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. The chart below illustrates this inspiring trend in gender-inclusive participation throughout 2025.

Breaking Barriers, Expanding Horizons:

What Our Students Say
“I have been studying at Paper Airplanes for almost two years, and I can see how much my language skills have improved and the knowledge I have gained.
